Gold's Gym

I took some gym time off and only recently returned to Gold's. After touring and receiving the hard pitch at the new local purple & yellow discount chain monster (and deciding both the color scheme and the people there would give me a daily headache), I decided to re-join Gold's instead. I'm really looking forward to the yoga classes, and might be looking for a trainer sometime down the road. The staff actually remembered and greeted me by name and were extremely helpful in setting me back up with a membership without seeming pushy. When I go to Gold's, I feel like they want me there because it's good for ME…not just good for their wallets. And it's nice to see a friendly, familiar face at the desk every day. I'm happy I decided to come back.

"I began coming to Gold's Gym in September 2006. I was very overweight and had decided I had to do something about it as it was begging to effect my life and health. I began by using the treadmill and gradually increased to using other machines and also signed up for some personal training visits. I truly did not know how long this change of life would last as I had done this many times over the course of my life as my weight had been a life long issue for me. I began working with Corey and cannot say enough about the encouragement and motivation he gave me. He pushed me when I needed to be pushed and helped me increase my confidence as I began to make progress. I began attending the aerobics classes offered after a few months and really enjoyed the classes, instructors and interaction with other members. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable regarding fitness and heath. I have also begun attending "spinning" classes and have become a "spinning addict" I have lost 90 pounds and continue to progress to being more physically fit than I have ever been in my life. I owe much of my success to the employees at Gold's Gym as I never would have continue on this path had I felt uncomfortable and out of place.
