Wine-Tasting at Golds Gym Middletown to Benefit Shoes That Fit.
The Vineyards Wine Shop will be holding a Wine Tasting at Golds Gym in Middletown on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 1:30pm-4:30pm.
You will be able to savor dozens of great wines from around the world and tasty hors d' oeuvres. The Vineyards promises the afternoon to be a memorable event, "filled with fine friends, fine hors d'oeuvres and of course fine wine.” The suggested donation for the Wine Tasting is $15 per person.
All donations will go to benefit Shoes That Fit. Shoes That Fit is a non-profit organization that strives to build the self-esteem of children in need by providing them with new shoes for school. The success of Shoes That Fit began in 1992 helping children at one elementary school in Pomona, CA. Today they provide items through over 850 elementary schools in 35 states. Shoes That Fit is a 4-STAR Charity, Charity Navigator’s highest rating available.
The local chapter of Shoes That Fit has been active for 11 years. The chapter is headed by Susie Reardon. Susie says “We provide new clothing and sneakers for school children in need. We work with the school nurses and social workers at school districts in Middletown, Pine Bush and Fallsburg. Last year we provided over 750 much needed items for children in these school districts.” 100% of the days donations benefit the local chapter
